Remainder To all my dear riders: Please, please, when You guys and gals get into a cab here in NYC put that TV down, lower its voice to the max. It is outrages for the driver to have to be listening all day long all that garbage. We are not even have the right to listen good radio programs like 99.5 FM or 91.5 FM also. Please, be nice to drivers,to us, have conversations, enjoy the ride like making easier to the driver and yes, be a good tiper in these difficult times for drivers due to the heavy competition between yellows to find passengers and from illi gal street hails. TO MY FELLOW RIDERS TLC is the municipal agency in charge of regulating taxis in NYC. The chairman plus 3 more members are appointed by the mayor. The 3 5 commissioners by the borough presidents. As You see, all political hacks. The chairman salary is $195.000 a year for doing what?. is anybody in NYC who know the name of the borough presidents all worthless burocrats and so are their appointees, political hacks...who do not know anything about the business and the industry. We should have a board like in SF where taxi drivers, owners and riders are represented as far as I know...but of course here in NYC We are better, We know better....You know...this is democracy in action....Your friend and driver Jose Bataller 422928

To Riders!!!!!! Commissioner Daus and all the "aristocrats" in the TLC want U to believe that the phones are so bad, that We talk too much while driving...bla,bla bla. They do not want We to talk even when We do not have passengers in the cab. Let me tell U riders something. I would not talk if I have somebody in the cab for respect to You but when I am alone in the cab that could be another history and nobody is going to intimidate me and I expect every driver or most of them to do the same. After all I am driving for the past 23 years long before than this crook became chairman by the finger of a mayor long gone 11 years ago. One of the biggest distraction is the fricking TV that We have behind without wanting it. I do not any driver who likes this TV and so are most of U riders so if U remember some recent history remembers when Ronald Reagen said "Mr. Gorvachev, tear down this wall' in reference to the Berlin wall. All what I ask U is to put down this TV as soon as U get into the cab. Put it down or lower the voice to the maximum. Do not bodden the driver with this propaganda-garbage. Be a friend of the driver, not an enemy!!Feel free to talk to us. Let's have a good ride being friendly to each other. Let's deny all the bad information about drivers given in a daily basis by the TLC, the City and the yellow press. We are humans. We have family and kids like most of U. Careful!!!!! I, medallion number 9V83, driver Jose Bataller, took a white guy, middle age to 1171 60th street in Borough Park in Brooklyn from Bellvue Hospital in Manhattan. He asked me to stop twice to buy cigarettes and in a Burger King near by his house. When We got to the address I mentioned He went upstairs and He said He will be back with the money. He never came.back. I called NYPD and as usual They never came. Cab drivers NEVER get any help from this fricking police department. All of that happened today on the 3rd of february. It was late and I had to go back empty and lost almost $40.00...God bless NYC, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!Jose Bataller
